Today our topic is my Lord & my God. When I was thinking on this topic my Lord & my God, I was thinking we many times say Oh Lord, many times we say Oh God. Who is this God, who is this Lord. What does He denote with a word God. So I am going to deal with a certain portion of it, that what the glory of God is & I am going to tell you that the Lord's majesty Lord's glory is wonderful. When we go to the Psalms 93 which we read today it speaks about the majesty, the majesty of the Lord. The Lord reigns He is clothed with majesty, Psa 93:1 The LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The LORD is clothed, He has girded Himself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved. The Lord is clothed with majesty. He is a person. He is a God. Who is a majestic person ,who is ruling, who reigns, who girded Himself with majesty. He is God , who is a great personality, who rules & who is majestic. Let me tell this is the same God who says let it be & it was, who said let the heaven & earth come forth & it came forth. He is the same God who said Lazarus come forth & Lazarus came out of the grave. This is the same God who made the heaven & the earth, who made the sun & the stars, who made every thing in this world. Who made the beast of the field, who made the fishes, who made the birds. He is the same God, almighty God. His one word make creation, His one word make the things which are not there to come into being. He is the same God whose one word can make the things different, whose one word can make the things totally upward down. He is that God He is the God almighty who reigns. He is the God almighty who is forever & forever. This is the God , & this God when He came down on mount Sinai in Exodus 20:18-19 let see what happened there. .. Exo 20:18 Now all the people witnessed the thundering, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off.Exo 20:19 Then they said to Moses, "You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die." They saw the lightning the thunder & smoke coming out of the mountain. When God descended on the mount Sinai, they saw the thunder the lightning & the smoke. When God descended with His power & authority. There was thunder & lightning ,There was a view which people simply could not see, we read in verse 19. Then they said to Moses You speak with us & we will hear, but let not God speak with us lest we die. Let not God speak with us lest we die.
When God descends with His glory, when God comes down with His glory, a human being can not stand at His
presence. That is the God we have. He is an awesome God . He is a great God. Can we the
human being whose life is just like a grass. Can we stand before Him, when He descends
with His glory. We realize that what we are in His perspective , in His presence what we
are. We are just a worm in His presence. We are just dust, a handful of dust in His
presence. We think of ourselves very great, we think of ourselves that we are somebody
great, we are some thing great, but before the almighty God we are just a handful of dust.
If we have some value its only because of His love, If we have some value its only because
of His glory , the glory which dwells in the highest. We have some value only because He
loves us, otherwise we are just a handful of dust And when He comes down then only we
realize, that we are nothing, but a sinful personality, we are nothing, but a sinner. We talk about God, we talk God have you ever thought of it ? That our God is such an awesome God, have you ever thought of it ? That our God is such a great God. His one voice can make a difference in your life , His one word can change your life , His one word can take you out of any situation. The whole night Peter was fishing he could not get anything. The very next moment Jesus said " cast the net & they got multitude of fish " That difference can happen, when the glory of God dwells, that difference can happen where God is in action. That difference can happen in my life & in your life my dear brother & sister. He is God, He is an awesome God. Let me take you back to the Exodus chapter 34, where again something is happening. Let me brief you up in Exodus 10:20 where God came down on mount Sinai. The God who created the universe He was there to tell the 10 commandments & again when the second time He was writing on the tablets of the ten commandments on Exodus 34:5-10 He was passing before Moses, Moses a man of God. He talked to God as a friend, He talked to God as a friend talk to another friend. And Moses was there & God passed before Moses & God said you will not be able to see my face, but you will be able to see my glory & at the end you will be able to see my back. Because no man can live after seeing Me. No man can live after seeing Me because the man is so fragile, man is so fragile it can not stand before the almighty king when he sees it. Moses even walked with God , still God says that you can not see My face. Now verses Exo 34:6 And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,Exo 34:7 "keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation."Exo 34:8 So Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.Exo 34:9 Then he said, "If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance."Exo 34:10 And He said: "Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the LORD. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you. Friends God passed before Moses, Moses is bowing down in haste before the almighty God & saying to Him " Oh Lord if you really love me. If your grace is upon me have mercy upon us. He is saying even though we are a stiff necked people, pardon our iniquity & our sins, even though we are a stiff necked people pardon our iniquity & our sin, have you ever thought of it ? When you talk to a person & say to him that you are a sinner, he will be at the highest boiling point of his life. Why ? he says I have not sinned, I am not a sinner. But when you stand before the almighty king , can you say the same thing to Him ? Moses the man of God who talk to God , he is saying pardon our iniquity we are stiff necked people. Is our neck so stiff, is our neck got so stiff , that even we don't realize that there is a God is in heaven, who rules over the earth. Any person in this world let he be anything, let he be in any position, let he be having any righteousness, but when God comes down, he will have to say father God have mercy on me. Have you ever thought of standing before the presence of God without holiness. Have you ever thought of it ? He is the Lord God almighty Holy Holy Holy, He is Holy. Let me take you to
Isa 62:1 For Zion's sake I will not hold
My peace, And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, Until her righteousness goes forth as
brightness, And her salvation as a lamp that burns.Isa 62:2 The Gentiles
shall see your righteousness, And all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name,
Which the mouth of the LORD will name.Isa 62:3 You shall also be a crown
of glory In the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem In the hand of your God. The same God almighty whose glory makes a
difference, whose presence makes a difference , whose voice makes a difference what He is
for, what He is up to ? God is saying in Isa 62:1-3 For Zion sake I will not hold my peace, for Jerusalem sake I will not rest
until its righteousness goes forth as brightness. God delights in righteousness. Until
Zion's righteousness goes forth as brightness, until Jerusalem's righteousness go forth as
brightness I am not going to rest that's what God said. He came down on Sinai mountain to
do the same thing, to cleanse them, to make conform that they have to obey the law, they
have to turn to God & they have to walk in the presence of God. He is saying the same
thing that I am delighted in the righteousness. Until the righteousness of Jerusalem comes
back shines like a brightness I am not going to take rest. I am going to work on that. He
is a God of that type my friend. He is a God of that kind my friend that He does not
delight in our unrighteousness. He wants us to get righteous. He wants us to get out of
that pit. & come out & stand on the rock & may be able to come out & live
a life glorious. He is a God & He works to the end, if we come to Him, if we turn to
Him, He is going to work to the end. If we come to Him, if we commit our life to Him He is
going to work to the end for us that we may be righteous, we may be get that
righteousness. Read the 2nd verse The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, And all kings
your glory. You shall be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the LORD will name.
How long we live in sin, how long
we think that go ahead do it no body knows, nobody looks. How long we think that, how long
we plan against people. How long we plan the things & bring it into action against
people. How far we go ? God knows every thing nothing is hidden before His eyes. Nothing
is hidden before His eyes & He wants to take us out of the situation & give us
righteousness. Let me go forth into John Chapter 21, again where Jesus is dealing
with Peter. What is happening exactly there. Peter denied Jesus after that not only he
denied Jesus ,he is saying let us go fishing. Jesus called him to be the fishers of men.
Jesus called him to be in a particular position, Jesus called him to stay in a particular
place, Jesus called him to proclaim His word , from staying in a place . He is called him
to be the fishers of men. He is going to go fishing in the sea of Genesareth. He is trying
hard, did not get anything. Jesus comes & says do you have anything to eat. Do you
have anything, do you have any food. And Peter had to say, Peter had to say that no, we do
not have anything. The reason is failure there. When you are not in the presence of God,
when you are not in the perfect will of God there is failure. When you are not in the
perfect place where God wants you to be there is problem. And he says there is no food
& there Jesus said do it. And before they caught the fish Jesus is ready there with
fish & bread. Jesus is ready to feed them & after that the main thing comes in,
Jesus asked Peter," Peter do you love Me". Do you really love me , do you really
love me. Three times Jesus is asking Peter do you love me. The same question Jesus is
asking today. Do you really love me, Do you really love me, Do you really love me.
